What’s a virtual festival?

Pretty simple really - it's a festival that doesn't involve you going anywhere, paying any money or doing anything besides listening to some superb acts performing right in front of your very ears. Still confused? Read on...

HOW DO I GET TO A "VIRTUAL FESTIVAL"?

There are two ways to experience the wonder of our virtual festival.  The first is via the festival site itself (revisit the '09 and '10 sites here).  From launch day in March each year, you can access every performance, organised by stage and artist, as well as interviews, lyrics for all the songs and geek chic festival merchandise. The second is to download the festival highlights podcast, available from the site or from iTunes. Then, if you like, you can stick it on your MP3 player and create your own mosh pit in your living room. Genius.

I'VE GOT A MEMORY LIKE A SIEVE. I'LL FORGET ABOUT IT BY MARCH.

Don't worry. There are plenty of ways to make sure you don't miss out on all the fun.

1) Go to our Geek Pop page on Facebook or register your attendance at our Facebook event. We'll message all festival goers when Geek Pop '10 starts.

2) Subscribe to the Geek Pop podcast over on the right hand side there. That way you can make sure the festival podcast drops right into your iTunes player or feed reader as soon as it's live. You'll also get some previous highlights to keep you busy in the mean time.

3) Register for the Geek Pop newsletter. We send out updates on our progress. Sometimes these involve geeky science jokes.

4) Follow our Twitter feed.
