About the band: Since forming in September 2006, the Layers have penned a set of acclaimed original songs, and performed them across the UK, The Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic and, in the summer of 2008, in New York's world-famous Kenny's Castaways. Their song 'Heart in a Jar' was written about Jennifer Sutton, who donated her cardiomyopathy-stricken organ to science. The Layers also write about climate change, consumerism and other contemporary science related issues.
