ABOUT ANDREW PONTZEN: Andrew is a professional cosmologist who always wanted to be a composer. In fact, from time-to-time he writes music and designs sound for fringe theatre in London, and a careful look through audio-book back-catalogues turns up some of his music. Shortly after leaving school, following a work placement in a professional studio, he produced several albums for unsigned bands. Andrew has long combined his musical and scientific interests in producing live shows and videos but it took Geek Pop to nudge him into science songwriting of his own. At his first attempt he earned himself second place in our science songwriting competition, with the astonishingly accomplished 'Astronomer's Love Song', which has been re-mastered for the festival. Two more nerdy tracks swiftly followed and are released here at Geek Pop 2011.
